Karina Berger, born around 1968 in Switzerland, held the titles of Miss Globe International in 1989 and Miss Switzerland in 1988.

After winning the national title of Miss Switzerland in 1988, she had the opportunity to represent her country in various international beauty pageants the following year.

She participated in the Miss World 1988 pageant in London, United Kingdom and the Miss Universe 1989 pageant in Cancun, Mexico. Although she did not place in either of these competitions, she went on to win the 1989 Miss Globe International title in Foca, Turkey.

In this pageant, she beat out Venezuelan contestant Eva Lisa Ljung, who was a semi-finalist in Miss Universe 1989, for the title, despite the fact that both before and after her, delegates from Venezuela had won.
